| Package in the Mail |
Eva and Elijah got a package in the mail today. Clothes from Auntie Melanie and Uncle Nathan (or god-daddy as he prefers). Melanie, on her Saturday routine, found these duds at the Salvation Army -- hooray for cute clothes and good deals. Side note - I have accompanied Melanie on one Saturday morning, what a fun time we had. I found a green sweater and "Impulse", a polaroid camera with a snappy looking case. Pretty much every time I comment on some article of clothing Melanie owns (most recently it was a lovely black wool coat) it ends up that she found it at the Salvation Army -- she is a supreme super thrift finder. Anyways, here are some photos of the kids in their new clothes.

Thanks for your comments and prayers about the sleeping. I think it has been somewhat better. Eva still wakes quite frequently, but Elijah not as much (in fact Elijah slept from 10:30-8:30 last night, again, we're not getting our hopes up, but just enjoying what comes our way). Lance was away again for part of this weekend, now he will be back for a long stretch so we can try to re-establish bedtime routine and I'll have him if I need help in the night.
Okay, I better go. I do have that book recommendation on my mind, but I want to really tell you about it well and I don't feel I have the creative juices to string words together right now.
one last thing -- do you see my new map - it shows where the people reading my blog are from - very exciting. already I am wondering about my far away dots -- Australia? Perhaps I shall have to call out the lurkers. Thanks to Jamie - that's where I discovered the map.
Have a good night.

| When the cat's away.. |
the mice won't sleep.
we are having some real sleep problems here. For the past number of nights - over a week, a 2hr stretch of sleep is counted as a miracle. Seems like the kids are more burpy than usual, waking up 5 minutes after a feeding, then half hour later, an hour later... this is very very difficult.
Lance is on tour right now with the rawling brothers - a rocky mountain music band - kind of country, gospel, bluegrassy. He's playing bass and having a lot of fun. Mom's here to help me with Eva and Elijah - she is big help - but like she says, Lance's shoes are very big and she only fills part of them. I sure miss Lance at night when I'm the only parent on duty with the kids. Mom helps to facilitate naps during the day - and makes me delicious meals. I actually told her I thought last night's supper was sent from heaven (pretty good considering it was easy - chicken baked in canned soup, cooked carrots, mashed potatoes and a salad)
please pray for us. thank you.
Aimee
