| Great and Sick |
Lance's concert was fantastic. He has some really great new songs. He had a great band - it looked like they were having tons of fun. Lance looked like he was in his element. I am excited for the future when he will hopefully get to do this a lot more!
There were over 70 people at the show and it is not an exaggerration to say that we knew most of them. That was a little overwhelming when it came to attempting to have a brief meaningful connection with as many as possible. It was bizarre to have so many of my world's colliding. There were people from Central Heights, CBC, CLBI, HOJ, Highschool, elementary school, extended and immediate family, Camp Luther. It was crazy and wonderful.
Now we are home and we are all sick. Yuck. Colds. Non-stop runny noses. Achy. Hot/cold. Not sleeping well (mostly me, and that could've been due to the dark chocolate I scarfed before bed, hmmm, not good). Cranky.
Well I better get going. I do have some photos from the trip but they will have to wait. See Steve and Carolyn's blog and Platinum Blonde for some highlights of the trip.
We had a good time and we are glad to be back.
Please pray for quick healing. thanks.

| See you there... |
We have been in BC since Monday and are enjoying it very much. We had a birthday party for Cara on Monday - the whole family was there so that was a real treat. Mom, the twins and I had a lovely visit at Grandma Klassens - got to see lots of relatives who work at the family trucking company. The kids had a blast playing with "Oma". Having been enjoying a lovely visit with Melanie - the kids are crazy for her and both say her name in their own cute ways. Steven has been staying at mom and dad's so it has been GREAT to see him so much. It's rainy almost all the time, and I am not used to it. Lance has been recording with Jon Anderson and having an incredible time. They're working on 6 songs and boy are you in for a treat when the CD is completed.
But... you don't have to wait to hear the songs.
Come to House of James on Saturday (17th) night, pay $7 and enjoy the new tunes. As a bonus you will also get to see Lance's wife and their two children!!!! Pretty good deal eh?
Lance's music is honest, earthy, melodic, authentic, catchy, fun, creative
I think you will like it.
So, I'll see you there then?

ps. these photos are so old but I thought the blog needed some photos, it's been awhile. These are from when Lance was recording his last album. the top one is with bruce rawling and the bottom one with brother steven. |

| New Music |
So Lance just got back yesterday from a 2 day songwriting-coffee drinking-lots of talking-little sleeping trip down to Bow Island to our friend Bruce's place. He came back with stories, 2 new songs(including a demo recording of one!), and some more fully baked songs (as opposed to the half-baked ones he went down there with) and more excitment for his next album (which he'll be doing some work on with Jon Anderson when we come to BC in November).
If you want to hear the newest song -- and I can't imagine why you wouldn't! -- then head on over to Lance's myspace:
www.myspace.com/lancecliffordodegard
the song is "How Did You". Feel free to post comments here if you'd like.
Also if you are in BC you should try to keep Nov 17th free. Lance is playing a show at House of James in Abbotsford. Starts at 8pm, cost $7. Guaranteed to be great!

ps. Tara and Kortney hope the cakes turned out well for you. |
