Wit's Beginning? Wit's start? |
Is there such a thing? I've spent so long at the end that I can't remember there being a beginning.
There are FIVE crib sheets, one mattress pad and multiple blankets in the washing machine right now. To make do in the meantime a twin sheet has been wrapped around Eva's crib mattress and a thick blanket laid overtop Elijah's wet sheet from last night (he keeps his diaper on, but wets so heavily that it leaks). Have I mentioned how much I hate changing sheets? I would rather wash toilets... well I did that today too and it's not much better.
I couldn't find the duct tape to keep that diaper on. So I'm just gonna leave her and she can remove it at will, could she have any more pee left? I need a rest. Already cleaned up a pooped on sheet this morning...hoping she's out of that too.
There will be a post to come about the fact that it is Elijah and Eva's second birthday today. And though there have been many lovely parts of today already - and more to come - I'm not exactly in that space right now. And today I'm not laughing about it either.
Prayers appreciated. aimee |

Hey Aimee, Crummy on all the laundry, I know the frustration a bit, as my littlest often pees twice a night in the bed. Could you slip in after she's asleep and put a diaper on Eva? Are you using cloth or disposibles (I assume cloth?)...because we got to a point with ELijah where we would put an extra diaper in the nightime diaper. It was really bulky, but effective :) Wool is also super absorbant, you could consider making/buying some felted wool liners for his diaper.

To have less full bed changes in the night (but not necessarily less laundry), you could layer plastic table cloths between sheets. If they wet the top one, the table cloth will protect the next dry sheet underneath.

Hey Aimee! I just wanted to wish your twins a happy birthday!! I am happy for you that they are celebrating this day. Sorry to hear that your day wasn't really that great, but tomorrow's another God-blessed day.

The good news is you can still write with your ironic tone.
Hope your weekend goes a bit smoother.

Another trick is putting the pillow (and the kiddo) on the other side of the bed after an accident, that is if the bed is big enough.

I have been out of the loop for a bit here and only just now caught up on things. The panties worked perfectly for my oldest, not so for my youngest. Good Luck. Happy birthday kids!

Hey Aimee a thought just occured to me.
Have you tried not giving them any food or liquids before bed?
I mean *3 hours* at least before bed???
That might help with the "amount" of pee/poo that's "left in them" from supper!

One of my friends put a one-piece swim suit on her daughter before bed over the diaper. Eva sounds pretty determined though so I imagine she'd be able to take that off too!
