Update and Blessings
Hello Friends, here I am.

So I left you in the dark for quite some time. I have been working so hard on my internship stuff - but today I am finished this busy stretch (I already have a list for the next work I need to be doing, but I think I'll relax a bit today).

Lance's CD project: We have been blessed by many gifts and loans from friends and family -- this has made it possible for us to go ahead with the recording. They have been working at a studio in Surrey for three days and things are going really well. I've been at home during this time, but will join them next week when they head back to do more recording. I heard a rough version of one of the songs today - it's excellent! Lance is having a great time. If you could continue to pray that things go well we would really appreciate it. A specific request would be that Lance's allergies wouldn't act up. It's been cold(ish) and rainy these past few days and I think that helps, so far things in this area have been okay. The last recording was during this same time and Lance's allergies were biserk!

Platinum Blonde: I know this is old news by now... I had a great time visiting Melanie on the night before and day of her grad. It was great to hang out and also to celebrate her accomplishments of the last two years. I enjoyed the grad ceremony - it was shorter than we all expected, so I'm sure that contributed. I felt honored to be Melanie's guest at her fancy reception - lovely fruit platters, croissants, eggs, bacon, smoked salmon, orange juice in wine glasses etc. We had a fun time packing as you can see in the pictures on her blog. We also had a fun time when my mom and I came out to help clean her apartment. It's amazing how the time flies when you are working hard and making great progress. We went out for crepes with Nathan and Jason and Cheryl - delicious.

Contest: Okay, so this is a long time coming. I have been too busy to post this pic - first I had to figure out how to do it, then actually do it, so now it is done.

Special note: no one from my family can enter the first part of the contest -- but you're welcome to be a part of the imaginative one.

Hmmm.

Heidi, glad the cobbler worked out for you.

Supper Idea: you know how we've talked before on the blog about making suppers and having some back-up plan foods on hand (tuna, frozen pizza, perogies). Well last night I said I'd make supper for my parents and my mom suggested french toast and fruit sauce. This my friends is an excellent easy and delicious supper. All you need is bread, eggs, milk, cinnamon, and fruit. I also toasted some nuts and we used that as a topping. Yum Yum Yum.

A Book: I am reading "Traveling Light" by Lucado. It is based on Psalm 23 and is subtitled, "releasing the burdens you were never intended to bear". It is really good. Each chapter is based on a small part of the Psalm. I'm really savoring the book -- and the Psalm. One part is standing out to me lately - "he makes me lie down in green pastures". HE MAKES ME LIE DOWN! That is what I need. A Shepherd who recognizes what I need and leads me - and makes me lie down. I should take this to heart. Especially today, after working so hard these past two weeks. Ahhh.

Sarah: I have really been loving getting to see Sarah a lot, it has been a real treat. I'll be babysitting her in a couple of minutes. She is so soft and cute and friendly -- so smiley. We were playing peekaboo the other day - I'd hold a blanket in front of my face and she'd lean as far as she could to try and see around it, then she'd push on the blanket with her hand and I'd drop it and we'd smile at each other.

Well, I think that's all for now.

Hope you are well.
