| Chun and Roger |
I would like to introduce you to Chun Sreypheak and Roger Gutierrez Ardiles.
Chun lives in the Kampot province of Cambodia. The Kampot province is in the Southern part of Cambodia and is one of the poorest parts of the country. Right now it is the cool season in Cambodia, soon it will be the dry season when food becomes scarce. Chun is 14 years old. She has long shiny black hair and dark brown eyes. She is beautiful. She speaks Khmer - which is a beautiful written language - descended from Sanskrit - lots of twists and turns. Chun is in grade five and likes math. Lance and I sponsor Chun through Canadian Food for the Hungry.
Roger lives in the community of Neuva Imagen on the outskirts of Lima Peru. He has one brother. He is 7 and very cute. He enjoys soccer and playing with toy cars. Roger loves to draw and has sent us many very good drawings. He is learning English and has sent us drawings with English words written underneath. The community Roger lives in is a slum with no running water, sewage systems or garbage collection. Roger speaks Spanish. Lance and I are also sponsoring Roger through Canadian Food for the Hungry.
I'm trying to learn more about the regions Chun and Roger are from so that I will know more how to pray for them. I am also trying to pray for them more regularly - and send them letters too.
