Tiny Blog
Intense week at work. The interns (7) are at CLBI this week taking a class all together. Since I am the internship director my workload has increased a lot. Yesterday and today a met individually with each intern at a local coffeeshop. I am worn out from all these meetings. I also met with a student interested in interning and two girls (separately) who just needed to talk. This is already a busy week - the students leave tomorrow and there have been a number of special "Christmas" events.

Lance is out renting a movie for us... It's 10:15 now and I don't think I'll be able to make it through a movie. The school Christmas banquet was tonight (draining for an already worn out semi-introvert like myself) and I think we are treating today as if it were friday - we still have to work tomorrow. And then there's the staff dinner and baking/food exchange tomorrow night.

Tonight before the banquet I was laying on the couch exhausted as Lance put together the powerpoint presentation of Chrismas carols for singing around the Christmas tree (a tradition after the banquet). He was asking me to list off Christmas carols - occasionally I'd just break into song. Particularly if I thought the song wasn't suitable for group singing. I, from my horizontal position, gave a rousing, operatic, rendition of O Holy Night. Lance was laughing and trying to get me to stop, motioning that people could hear me. In my overtired state I didn't care but just kept singing and laughing too. I skipped some parts but was sure to do the ending with the especially high and loud "Oh night DIVINE, oh night when Christ was
Born!!!!" Lance didn't include this as one of the carols to be sung around the tree - it's too high for group singing and is really more for soloists. We got to the banquet and saw it printed in the program as one of the songs before the devotional. I would never choose that one. Oh well. People (especially some of the guy students) had fun belting it out.

Well I better go.

Hope you are well.
