| Wow, 8 days already |
As Karen pointed out in the guestbook - it has been eight days (now more) since my last blog. I couldn't believe it either. The weeks have really been going by fast lately. They have been so full. Today marks the official start of my Christmas break.
My last task at work was designing our choir shirts for next semester. As you know I have been getting into graphic design - at least I was in the summer. When our director asked me if I would come up with a design for this year I was proud to say Yes. Last year we came up with the design together - and it was very simple, just a question mark in a square. Anyways, I took on this task and yesterday as I was explaining my frustrations about not knowing how to make things look the way I wanted them too, Lance pointed out that I probably needed to ask for help from our resident techie/graphics guy Dean. This morning I planned to get him to help me. Before heading to the school I thought I'd experiment with a couple more things... and low and behold I came up with an idea that was better than what I had been doing - and I knew how to do it. I polished off the design - in about 15minutes. I showed it to the director, she liked it - phew. Now it's been emailed to the shirt screening people and I'm done with it.... and on holidays!!!
What do holidays look like. Well so far I've had lunch with my good friend Jena. Worked in the darkroom for a couple hours. Actually made supper - it's been awhile, lately it's been last minute scrambling. Quiche tonight - very good if I do say so myself. Sat by our Christmas tree, listening to music and reading an advent devotion. Snuggled with my lovely husband. And now I'm catching up on blogging.
This morning I finished a Christmas present for one of my family members (some of whom read this so I can't say who). I am very happy with it and look forward to giving it.
