I have been avoiding my blog
Not really intentionally but sort of. Well here I am for a quick post. If you read Mom's blog then you'll know that she and Dad were out for a few days last week. It was lovely! Check her blog for photos - I don't think I took a single one! The kids really enjoyed them and were not at all happy to see them go. Today I was reminding Eva about when we recently talked with Grandma Kathy on the phone. Eva then wanted "more" and then she said Grandma Kathy was hiding. Was she hoping that we'd just look around and find her? "come, come" she said.

I've taught one out of five of my night class sessions. It went well. I really enjoyed it. I also co-lead a lab each week. Jes - who works at CLBI - is helping me lead the visual arts lab. I'm excited to see (and help with) the projects the students will come up with.

The kids are getting funnier and funnier everyday. Brent was over tonight to watch hockey (did you know it was Hockey DAY in Canada all day today?) and the kids really liked him. They were delighted that he shared his chips with them. Elijah was very silly and liked peeking at Brent. He tilts his head and peeks around a corner and says, with a huge smile and scrunchy eyes, "peeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeek" Eva was struck tonight by how "cowd!!!! cowd!!! cowd!!!" her naked dolls were. We quickly remedied that by putting the lovely clothes Grandma Kathy made. She specifically insisted that Shorty wear his jacket.

I've been enjoying "Like Merchant Ships" (see link at right). Great thrify ideas with attention to beauty. Some frugal sites are so dull and have an air of heaviness. I never visit "not made of money" and will soon take it off my list. Planning on adding "holy experience" - see link from mom's blog, to my links list. I appreciate Ann's thoughtful/inspiring/challenging words on life and faith.

It is freezing here. -32 today, with a windchill of -46. I thought I got frostbite yesterday but that was a little dramatic of me. I'm totally fine. We haven't been outside in a while, and it might be a while yet. I will not miss the cold when we move. I sure will miss the sun though.

Hope you are well.

bye.

I would like to come again. I wonder if Eva remembers waking up and I was sleeping in her room. Maybe she thought I was hiding then.

    Love,
    Mom
