Tonight (which by the time I'm actually posting this is last night) I watched Kortney's (of synchronizedaxels.blogspot.com) synchro team compete in the Westerns. She was the loveliest skater on her team. I'd never seen her skate, and it was such a treat to see her in her element. She looked so alive. Here are a few pics, you can tell who Kortney is by the way she has her head tilted just so and how she carries herself so gracefully, I don't know, maybe it's just me, but I think she stands out, especially in the long line picture (she's seventh from the right):
More about skating to come - we got to watch my cousin Sammie skate today. Her team did so well. They had a great program (I think that's the right term) - excellent dramatic music too. I'm having a little trouble with the photos so they'll come soon.
