A new baby and sledding |
On December 30 my friend Bel had a little boy. His name is Finnley and he is INCREDIBLY handsome. Congratulations Bel and Eddie!
A couple of weeks ago we went sledding with the Friedrichs and Chetneys. It was Eva and Elijah's first time. Elijah - who loved it - went many times with Lance. Eva - who would rather visit with Jena and Suzanne at the top of the hill - went once with me. It was really fun - and a warm day, just below zero. Afterwards Friedrichs came for unfortunately-not-quite-cooked hamburger soup. No, the hamburger was cooked, the veggies were just a little crunchy. I'm still learning the ways of the crock pot. On high my soups turn out like mush, and now we know that on low, they're crunchy. Oh well with good friends you just crunch through carrots and enjoy each other's company. Here are a few pictures of the sledding:

Karys the youngest one on the hill!
We saw three deer on our walk home from the hill. They were ten feet away!

Oh what snowy fun! Maybe we can do some sledding :)

Look at all the beautiful snow!!! I'll be there so soon, and can't wait to play in the snow (and see you I hope!)...here's it's just real cold, and no snow. And when it does snow it's just a mess. I can't wait for snow and sunlight in one!

warm = just below zero... pass!!!
Beautiful pictures of beautiful people as always.
My crockpot and I are really good friends. Some stuff you cook on high for part of the time and then switch to low to avoid the crunch or mush results. And it depends on how far in advance you start. Sometimes the crockpot is the only reason I have dinner ready.
