Changing sheets - I'm sure you won't mind there are no pictures!
I hate changing sheets. Yesterday morning we woke up hearing Eva (through the monitor) saying, "mama, mama, change, change" I came upstairs to find her sheets covered in poop. Poop had somehow migrated out of her diaper, down her pajama pants and out onto the sheets. So gross. So I took care of that.

This morning I came up to get Eva and peered into the crib. NO WAY! There is no way that poop escaped a full-body-attached-feet-sleeper! Oh, that's not poop. She had thrown up. Same morning Elijah's diaper leaked so his sheets were wet and needed to be changed too. 3 sheet changes in 24 hours.

Well that's not the worst of it. Now it is clear that we have the flu or something. Elijah has been throwing up every ten to thirty minutes for the past number of hours. He is such a cute/pathetic sick little boy. Lance snuggled him to sleep (with intermittent puking) which is not usual at all. Lance is coming down with the same thing to. Feeling nauseous, achy, chilly, rumbly... We can only assume Elijah feels awful like that too. Poor guys.

Eva seems to be doing better - didn't puke all day. But is being checked for a bladder/urinary tract infection.

Seems like we're falling apart over here.

I am praying that I don't get sick too. At least not till after the others get better.

Any tips for pukey toddlers?

Hope you are doing better than we are.

oh, my heart goes out to you guys! I hope your family can get past this quickly; it is not fun being sick!
Our family had the flu off and on for 3 weeks before Christmas. All I can say is don't let them eat until it has been 6 hours since they have thrown up! Only tbsps of fluid at a time..don't let them drink it. It comes up 10 min later.!
    Feel better!!
    I love reading your blog.!

Oh yucky times of tummy trouble.

My only advice is little sips of water. I found it worked well on a spoon - a spoonful every few minutes. That was more likely to stay down. Sometimes pedialite (sp?) is given to help little people not dehydrate. I've only heard of Pedialite.

    Love and prayers,
    Mom

Spoons of liquid and NO food no matter how hungry they claim to be. My kids don't like the pedialite, but it does have important things the names of which I have forgotten in it. Good Luck and as long as you can keep yourself well the rest will be fine.

They make Pedialite popsicles, those are nice.

Aw grody! Um pukey toddlers? I suppose I would give them some sleeping flu syrup to knock them out for most of the day, so they can sleep off the flu. And I too hope you do not get it, as I know your family NEEDS someone to be strong for them. I am praying for you! (changing sheets is no fun, no fun at all-I know when we had our 8 year old foster son/brother-in-law I had my fair share of morning pees. Not fun at all.)
