| New Arrival and Growing Belly |
Hi folks. We have a new arrival. No, no babies have been born here -- which reminds me, I have forgotten to congratulate Kristal and Shaun on the birth of Natalie Ryan. Check out Kristal's blog for photos of their lovely new little girl.
And back to our arrival. While I was on holidays Lance discovered that two infant carseats would not fit in the back of our tiny car. The front seats were so far forward to make the car seat fit that they (the front seats) couldn't even lock into place. So we have been on the lookout for a vehicle for our growing family.
Of the following take a guess as to which is our new vehicle. From left to right: Toyota Matrix, Honda Civic, Honda Odyssey, Dodge Voyager, Hyundai Accent.

That's right folks, we are now the proud owners of a 1995 Honda Odyssey. The jump to a minivan was especially hard for Lance - he was hoping to hold out till he's 35 before making this type of purchase. Crazily enough on the insurance a Honda Odyssey is called station wagon. So there you have it, it's not a minivan afterall.
And finally, here's a photo of me and my belly today, 29 wks, 5 days. I measured 38 wks at my appointment on Wednesday, so when Lance says I look like I'm done, or ready, it makes sense. But we still have a lot of ground to cover. A lot of room to grow. I've gained 32lbs so far, and expanded my waist size by 16 inches. No wonder I am feeling really big.

I studied each car and I guessed "honda Odysee" and I was right! I just it was cool that I guessed the right vehicle!

oh wonderful! You should see our car with the three carseats in the back. You have to move the drivers seat forward to put Briannas carseat in and then move it back when time to drive.
and HUMPH on not telling. I blogged about you (you meaning general you) "non tellers" and Donnie told me I sounded like a mean person. Hard to be sarcastic online.
You look great. You look full term! I hope you grow comfortably. Is that possible?

i guess i never pictured lance in the drivers seat of a minivan before. i think it'll fit well. glad you could find something that works better than your old vehicle :p

What's the biggest defining characteristic of a van? That's right-sliding doors. You will note that your early model odyssey has no sliding doors. So Lance, happy 35th, but you don't have no real minivan.

With Twins it's a station wagon (van) and with tripplets you get a nanny. Or so I've heard.

Congratulations on a van! Welcome to the van family. You'll love all that room for strollers, groceries, and lots of room for the babies. An even bigger congrats on 30 weeks! I understand the importance of milestones and 30 weeks is a big one.

The grandparents do not know the gender of the babies - and we are doing just fine - but then think about it - in "our day" we never knew til you could see the little babes with your own two eyes - so this seems normal :) ;) But then, I do like surprises and anticipation - so we got a good mix of both going on!
Congrat's on the van - you now own a higher quality vehicle than your parents ever have. Hey - is that periwinkle color? I like it.

Seriously, you're brave to take on a van! I guess I'm like Lance, I'm keeping my little car as long as possible...after all, it has 4 doors! Yes, from the side you look prego, but I bet no one can tell from behind you! You look fabulous - are there really 2 heads in there?!
