joy and stress |
have had some really rich times with friends this weekend - haven't had this for a long time. I have felt refreshed by this.
i have also been feeling very stressed about this coming week. teaching and being a mom. a big load. Lance has arranged babysitters for each morning. class runs 8:30-10, then 11:15-12:30. I will feed the kids between class sessions, and maybe catch a nap - for sure have a snack. The kids will be at the school, so if I'm needed the sitters will just come and get me. Please pray that Eva and Elijah will be in good moods and easy going about being around new people for a good chunk of each day. Pray too that they would eat well in the mornings before class so I can feel confident that their little tummies are full when I leave them with the babysitters. Pray that somehow I would be able to be fully present wherever I am at a given moment -- whether that be teaching or caring for the babies. I can see myself feeling needlessly worried while teaching - or while Lance is teaching.
Thanks for your prayers and care. thanks too for all the comments regarding the course and the mice -- the mice situation is another stressor, like we have extra time to be dealing with mice.

Praying for you. I think baby visits in the classroom would work for little bits too if they needed you and this helped you feel better. I think the little ones will be a delight to care for. Praying for inner peace and a great course and full tummies and happy babies and good afternoon naps.
Love to you all, Mom

You are so busy girl. Wish I could say I understand, the busyness that is...I do understand the stress part though. Joy is something to find hey? Try to find joy in the students and who they are perhaps. Just trying to help...it's so good too that the twins will be with you on-campus that would be less stressful too I imagine.

I hope your babies are blessed by their time with their sitters, and i hope you are blessed by your time with your students.
I never went to your school, thus i never took 'the relationship course', but i did take 'marriage and family' at my college (a sociological course, although it went into 'relationship and sex' issuse). anyway, Perhaps you have heard of this book i am about to suggest (i haven't fully read it yet myself, just snippets so far.. good snippets): Sheet Music by Kevin Leman. (chances are that you have read and used this book, but just in case). Really great supplementary material/reading. I have to get to bed now. Have fun teaching as well! Janie
