Some photos for you curious cats
Well we're here. We've slept here two nights. I just love our new place and can't believe we actually get to live here. Unpacking is going well. In fact I feel like we're making great headway -- this is because most of our boxes are still in the garage. We will get to them little by little. I did my first loads of laundry in our new machines last night -- washing baby clothes. Man those socks are small! I cannot believe that very very soon we will have four little feet that will be kicking off those little socks. Right now I feel like pregnancy will never end. Not like I think, "Oh this will never end it will just go on and on" in a bemoaning sort of way, just that I am now so used to be pregnant and really don't know what lies ahead.

Here's a little tour of the basement -- I must add that the photos don't do it justice, but if you come and visit us I'll give you a tour in person, that is, if I am awake:

Here is Lance leading me to the nursery when I had a sneak peak before the rest of the basement was finished.

Immediately upon coming down the stairs you enter our office.

To the right is this hallway

Also to the right is the door to our laundry room (which is also the furnace and storage room)

On the left is our bathroom - this room did not exist before.

To the right after the laundry room is our bedroom (which you'll notice is open to the rest of the basement -- reminds me of a studio apartment)

To the left after the bathroom, or actually just straight down the hallway is the nursery. As you can see it is very much a work in progress. Hopefully Lance will set up that crib tomorrow.

Nesting has began. Finally. A peak into the nursery closet.

Here I am at 36 weeks and 4 days. I can't believe we made it this far. We're holding out for a bit longer -- hoping to be a little more settled before these little ones arrive. It is relieving to know that if they arrived now they wouldn't be plagued by the common problems that accompany prematurity.

I think that's all for now.

Maybe I'll do a little more unpacking.

hey... is that a special crib, or do you just put both babies in a normal crib together?

Thank you - I've checked about a million times for some photos of the new place. Hurray - I am satisfied. Have Lance hug the babies and tell them Grandma and Grandpa love them very much and can hardly wait to meet them. Lance - you have done a great job on the reno - you the man!

    Love the nursery shelf photo.

Aimee - you look like you're carrying TWINS - YIPEE.

    Love to you all,
    Mom

thanks for the pictures! You're house looks "yours". What a great job your worker ants have done.

I heard somewhere that multiples sleep better in the same crib? I know Ellie and Wesley used to snuggle until they started kicking more than sleeping.

    I LOVE that green desk.

Yeah! 36 weeks plus. You are doing great, even with the stress of renovating and moving. Can't wait to see a post about your little ones. I am so excited for you as it has been so amazing so far being the mom of twins. What a beautiful journey lying ahead.
